@straight-up-suffering assuming you read it you’d know it isn’t a Nord VPN ad (I think it’s kinda anti Nord VPN?) - it’s a well-needed PSA about privacy. If it’s fear-mongering, it’s because data logging/analysis/selling is a scary reality, and many people are still uninformed about it.

@thelifelemonsgaveyou If you did stop scrolling and read the post, you’d know Australia is in the same privacy law alliance as the US (and UK, and NZ and Canada), and also has privacy problems. This is an international issue, not just the US, and 3rd parties can buy/sell/analyse your data, not just the government.
